Creating a sense of belonging in the workplace
Shift is an inclusion coaching and consulting firm committed to empowering businesses to rise to the challenge of bolstering diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives with progressive methods to establish foundations for impactful and sustainable change.
During our research, we discovered that a lot of people in positions of power acknowledge and want to address issues that are related to diversity and inclusion in the workplace within their organizations. However, the challenge is that they are either too afraid of saying the wrong things or just don’t know how to talk about these issues because they don’t have the language or tools.
The discovery led to a brand identity that is centered around the idea that in order to shift the culture and make progressive, meaningful, and sustainable changes, we need to start having open and ongoing conversations. The logo is very emblematic of that very idea, consisting of two speech bubbles coming together to form a unique and abstract letter S that reflects the firm’s mission to partner and collaborate with industry leaders to create plans that show an authentic path to inclusivity. The identity system is bold, the bubbles are consistently merging to generate new ideas and graphics. Its flexibility opened doors for unexpected and dynamic brand expressions through different touch points.
